hey hello, shiny gemstones and spring sunrises thw doodle queue is currently CLOSED

which is to say, ahem if you’re interested in being added to the doodle queue, REBLOG THIS POST with

a picture or detailed description of your OC

their name/pronouns, their story and any cool powers they have or what makes them rad as hell (i might message you to ask more questions!)

i welcome different body types, skin colors, and hair textures, etc. and so does rocket

in general i prefer to draw vaguely humanoid femmes with a thing for raccoons (you know which fandom im in), so those characters will likely get in the queue first. this ain’t a “first-come, first-served” thing, it’s a “which character does my brain want to gnaw on, with or without my consent” thing.

i got too swamped last time because i just accepted/took on too many requests at once which resulted in some glorious individuals waiting MONTHS for their doodles to be done and while that could still happen, i am hoping to avoid it by keeping the queue shorter and just closing/reopening more frequently

worth noting i’ve only ever drawn three anthro characters (see one of ‘em below) so if you so request that, just know i’m a novice

i may also end up adding a few to the queue as well (i really want to revisit ember, dori, petra, maybe fleuret and rose, always juno — would love a chance to draw jupe of one of @frostedwitch’s other OCs too!). ive also been playing with a new-to-me, semi-lineless style i might use your characters to practice on.

I'm really fixated on Guardians of the Galaxy, but specifically Centaurians for some reason

So I made my own Centaurian oc

her name is Fenra Ullodu, and I don't know if I'm going to actually use her for fanfics or headcanons, but I'm tempted to

It was hard to draw her for a while because my only references were the comics, and there's only like 3-4 frames available to find online

But also because I can't find a lot of information about them either outside of their appearances and "they're strong and fast marsupials"

But I did read someone's fanfic where they describe the Tahlei, not as a solid fin, but as like a crest, made up by a bunch of compact, stiff hairs, and the centaurians can fold them up or down

And it's sort of supported by what I could find online, I'm sticking with that

Tried a different style of drawing today.

Uncolored drawing of my gotg oc, Dottie. I did a few tweaks to her design, added a gas mask and gave her a bun. I forgot to add her scarf but I will when I finish it completely.

My GOTG OC

soooooo… first of all, good any time of the current day, and here I come to introduce you to one of my many OCs, Lyu.

Full Name: Lyubov Balkirev Age: 28 Gender: Female Sexuality: Straight, Demi-AroAce

Attribute: She has a pair of white retractable wings with some dark spots and a tail of the same colors (usually hides the tail, occasionally shows it, like, it can change the size of her tail and wings).

Example:

Likes: The smell of air after rain, listening to music, fruits, photography. Dislikes: does not like injustice and being treated as a foolish person.

Abilities: Flying and running very fast, Atmokinesis and can fly carrying people on her back (as long as they are not TOO heavy), advanced animal communication, versatility in combat and mental resistance.

(For Atmokinesis, she usually has to concentrate all her energy and when she finishes using that power she ends up exhausted)

Weaknesses: High emotional sensitivity, excessive caution, need of lonelines (given her ambivert nature, Lya may need periods of solitude to recharge her emotional energy. During these times, she may be less effective in group situations). Items she has most of the time: A voice recorder, her smartphone, headphones and a polaroid camera. Defense item: A scythe.

She was born on a distant planet called Garmoni, inhabited by people with human characteristics but with bird wings and other characteristics. Specifically she was born in a continent very close to the south pole of the planet, that's why her hair color and feathers and there she grew up normally like any other child, but her parents gave her a lot of freedom, they let her go to run errands alone and that was a mistake, because one day people from another planet kidnapped her and sold her on the black market; but she managed to escape.

After 12 years she was in Contraxia when she met Kraglin in a bar, it was not the best encounter of all but they got to know each other until he introduced her to the crew he belonged to, including Yondu; She did not get along very well with Yondu but in the end she got along with him. She wanted to spend more time with both of them, so she decided to show Yondu her skills and try to convince him to join her to his crew. In the end she managed to convince him and she was part of his crew for quite a while.

After a looong time, when the most of the crew revealed themselves against Yondu she knew it was best to pretend to be on Taserface's side. She helped Yondu get rid of the others. When Yondu died she was devastated for a while until she got over it with difficulty. In the end she stayed with Kraglin, with the Guardians of the Galaxy and there she met Ember (credits to @thirteens-lucky-tardis and thanks for your permission to create an oc that has a relation with your oc) and Lya couldn't believe that she met another individual with wings, they got to know each other and shared a lot of things to finally become friends.

Elektra bears a past lost to history.  Her entire life she's dreamt of the stars, wishing to fly among them like the comets and meteors she saw from the barren fields of South Dakota. But like most of the galaxy, she has found herself among thieves and criminals and those too cruel to deserve either title. Forced to work off a debt to the Kree Empire, Elektra bides her time, looking for any and all possible solutions. When Ronan the Accuser demands she accompany a Kree taskforce to Morag in search of a valuable artifact simply known as "The Orb," Elektra seizes her opportunity and runs, stealing away on a ravager ship with the man who'd stolen the artifact. But her newfound freedom throws her into something much more dangerous. Surrounded by a rag-tag group of misfits, Elektra finds herself in the middle of Titans, wars, and something much bigger than herself.

@thirteens-lucky-tardis has one of the most exciting, interesting OCs on the face of the planet, and i was privileged enough to try my hand at drawing her. (i did not do her justice — i am going to try again though don’t you worry).

what is the coolest thing about ember? is it her shiny blue hair? her green eyes? her cute pointy ears or the jewelry i had so much fun making/ that headdress? is it what a good match she is for rocket and how cute all their stories are together? (okay some of these stories are like death-defying and heartwrenching but) NOPE it’s that she’s a MOTHERFUCKING DRAGON (i originally wanted to draw her wings but i was having a hard time deciding on a pose).

ember is very very very cool and you should read more on @thirteens-lucky-tardis’s blog because she is rad as fuck. thank you for letting me draw her, and for creating such an interesting, fascinating, gorgeous character (and for letting me play around with another doodle of her). i truly, truly appreciate it! ♡
